Machinery Trends
SW: Reflecting on the past year, have machinery sales increased during the pandemic, decreased, stayed roughly the same?
JA: They have stayed consistent. We sell all over the U.S. Red states (conservative) have never stopped and continued to place orders. We never focused on Miami, New York City, Chicago or Los Angeles.
SW: In your opinion, what types of features on machinery have been the most beneficial during the pandemic for fabricators?
JA: Our T-Rex is the best seller. It’s the only machine on the market that can do the whole kitchen process from A-Z. And it does it faster than single function machines.
SW: What are new innovations you are seeing in machinery out there?
JA: Our T-Rex model offers upside down cutting, miters, hybrid cycle and double profile wheel stacking.
SW: How do you go about deciding what new machinery advances are needed for fabricators? Is it all at once or do you take turns looking at different machines? Do you come up with the ideas by yourselves or is it based on feedback you receive?
JA: We measure feedback with our knowledge of all machine brands and processes, then we come up with how to be more durable and faster.
SW: Are you finding lead times for new machinery to be quicker or longer these days, compared to pre COVID times?
JA: Longer lead times not due to COVID. Just due to more demand. We are busier than ever.
