TILE joined a select group of industry journalists and design professionals on a trip hosted by Tile of Spain to explore the city of Valencia, Spain, and visit a group of leading tile manufacturers in the province of Castellón. The Passport to Creativity Tour, as it is called, ushered participants into the world of Spanish tile – observing first-hand the process of making tile from clay to seeing it fired in the kiln. Those on the Tour returned with a better understanding of not only the production process, but the passion each manufacturer has for their products.
