I often say what I enjoy most about traveling to various industry events is reconnecting with friends and making new ones. As you know, one of my recent trips was with the StoneFabricator’s Alliance (SFA) to Italy. Spending eight days on a bus with a bunch of fabricators was the perfect environment for meeting new industry members.

I was fortunate enough to reconnect with one of my new friends a few weeks later when I went out to Denver, CO, for one of our Stone Industry Education events.

Richard and his manager, Jason, were kind enough to invite me into the fabrication shop they run in Henderson. We share the full story on the countertop division of the Colorado Flooring Co. in this edition. Read it here.

I have been spending more time at home this summer, catching up on work and a little relaxing too. I hope you all are enjoying the summer months as well. Soon I will be back on the road. I am looking forward to meeting up with industry friends and meeting new ones on the Natural Stone Institute’s Study Tour, which heads out to Salt Lake City, UT, at the end of this month. Stay tuned for coverage on the trip soon!
