Among the show highlights was a global meeting of international stone associations. Jim Hieb of the Natural Stone Institute was among the leaders who spoke at the gathering, which brought together representatives from the U.S., Brazil, Italy, Greece, the United Kingdom, Portugal and other nations.

Another standout feature was Antolini’s separate pavilion in the Mercato, a historic building across from the fairgrounds, where visitors with special appointments could view slabs alongside the original blocks of the same material.

The Brazilian stone sector also had a strong presence – occupying its own entire hall for the first time.
