Something for Everyone

In this issue, we cover a range of topics – so we hope you will find something of interest. Of course, the issue of tariffs on Brazilian stone imports to the U.S. is top of mind for many in our industry. Jason had the opportunity to speak with Fabio Cruz of Centrorochas, the Brazilian stone association. Be on the lookout for the podcast soon, but in the meantime, we share some highlights of the conversation. While quartzite products have been given an exemption on the new tariff, other materials such as granite and marble are still subject to the fee. Read what efforts the Brazilian government, as well as U.S. government officials and stone association representatives, are actively doing to find a resolution to this issue.

Automation and best business practices are also topics that receive quite a buzz among fabricators. We recently asked several industry members to share their thoughts and experiences on machinery and considerations they take when making a new investment. Our contributing writer, and veteran fabricator and industry leader, Paul “Max” Le Pera, provides ideas on how to lead a team, especially through tough times.

And finally, we take a deep dive into the Stone Fabricator’s Alliance (SFA) 2025 Italy Tour. From a photo slide show capturing various moments of the trip to insight from some of the fabricators who participated to highlights of each of the host companies we visited, we captured the amazing journey from all angles.

Now that summer is behind us, our team will be hitting the road again. Look for us at various industry events and stay tuned for more industry updates.
